GreenCR Champion Nominations Open

With Earth Month on the horizon, nominations are now open for GreenCR Champions . These are individuals or groups in our Cedar Rapids and nearby communities that care about environmental health and supporting people in our community. GreenCR Champions work hard to bring that passion to wherever they are--school, work, at home or outdoors.

If you know a person or group who goes above and beyond to promote environmental stewardship – a teacher, student, employee, or association – nominate them for the GreenCR Champion Award at EcoFestCR.org/Award.

GreenCR Champions are selected by the EcoFest Committee. This year’s awards will be announced as part of their annual EcoFest celebrating Earth Month at NewBo City Market on Saturday, April 20. The EcoFest committee will review all applications and select up to two award recipients. Nominations will be accepted through Friday, April 12.

Key Dates:

• Friday, April 12:  Applications are due by 11:59 p.m.
• Saturday, April 20:  Eco Fest event, awards are presented to the winners.
