Alley Collection - Garbage, Recycling & Yard Waste

The Solid Waste & Recycling division announces a FULL RETURN TO ALLEY COLLECTION of garbage, recycling and yard waste carts. Collection returns to the alley across the board this week for all customers who had weekly alley collection of their garbage carts prior to the August 10 derecho. The City of Cedar Rapids has substantially completed its collaboration with utility providers to raise low-hanging cables and clear passage through alleyways for collection trucks.
