City Garden Plots to be Cleared October 19
Cedar Rapids, IA - October 14, 2009 - The Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department will begin mowing and plowing city garden plots at Tuma, Ellis and Squaw Creek Parks in preparation for winter on Monday, October 19. All produce, stakes, wire, and plant ties must be removed from garden plots rented from the city by Sunday, October 18. Any produce remaining on the plots will be cleared by department crews.
