Administrative Site Development Plans
The purpose of a site development plan is to confirm that all development is consistent with the requirements of City Codes and previously approved plans. When a Site Development Plan is required in connection with an application for a Conditional Use, Conditional Expansion, Major Design Exception, or Variance, the procedure for review and approval shall be the same as for the review and approval of the connected application. Otherwise, a Site Development Plan is reviewed and approved by the Development Services Department. The Site Development Plan is the engineered certified plan of improvements, certified by a registered civil engineer licensed in the State of Iowa. The City of Cedar Rapids encourages customers to use the new Citizen Access Portal site so that City staff can accept, review and approve land development plans electronically, saving you time and money.
