Fire & Life Safety Summer Camp

The Cedar Rapids Fire Department is hosting a one-week Fire & Life Safety Summer Camp for children consisting of safety education and fun, hands-on activities. The educational topics include home fire escape planning, smoke alarm education, how to recognize and handle 911 emergencies, burn prevention, bicycle helmet safety, stranger danger, and first aid. Activities include spraying a fire hose, fire truck rides, a trip to the 911 dispatch center and much more.
The Fire & Life Safety Camp is for children ages 6 through 8. Camp will be held at the Cedar Rapids Fire Department Central Fire Station, 713 1st Avenue SE.
Fee: $50 for the one-week Camp (payment is due on the first day of Camp)
Due to the continued COVID-19 Pandemic it has not been determined yet if we will be able to host the Summer Camp for 2021. Updates will be posted as they become available.
