The Cedar Rapids Police Department responds to traffic accidents and, depending upon the circumstances such as injuries or total property damage, will generate an investigative report. 

State law allows the complete accident reports to be given only to persons involved in the accident, their attorney, insurance companies or insurance agents.  If you need a report, please contact our Records Division at 319-286-5350.
