June is National Adopt-a-Cat Month

Finding loving homes for felines is a challenge in any season, and never more so than during the summer months.  And that’s exactly why the Cedar Rapids Animal Care & Control is offering adoption specials you simply can’t resist.  So if you’ve been toying with the idea of adding a furry feline to your family, now is the time to do it.

Each furry feline available in the promotion will be spayed or neutered, have its initial vaccinations, will be dewormed, treated for fleas/ticks, and be given a microchip.  The average cost for those services can run as high as $300, but feline adoption fees at Cedar Rapids Animal Care & Control have been reduced to just $25 for any spayed/neutered adult cat.

And that’s not all…

Cats that have been at the shelter for three months or longer will be offered for a mere $5, or FREE to senior citizens through our Cat Companions for Seniors program.   Cats adopted to seniors will also go home with a new litter box, scooper, litter box liners, bowls and a toy!  So be sure to stop by Cedar Rapids Animal Care & Control Center located on the Kirkwood College Campus at 900 76th Avenue Drive SW before the end of the month to check out our Adopt-A-Cat specials.

“Don’t forget,” says Webber, “when you adopt a cat, you're not only saving a life, but gaining a furry, feline companion that will make your life complete.”
