City Expands Online Bill Payment Options

The City of Cedar Rapids has recently expanded customer online payment options, making it easier and more convenient than ever to submit your City payments.

When you receive your City invoice, it will advise you of the online option, where you may pay by credit or debit card, or by debiting your bank account. There is no service fee for any invoice paid directly from a checking or savings account. A 2.95 percent convenience fee will be required for online payments made using a debit or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover).

To use the online payment option, click here. You will need the Customer ID found on your invoice to proceed.

Examples of invoices now eligible for online payment include rental registration fees, fire inspection and false alarm fees, burglar alarm permits, and ATE citations.

Besides online payment options, the City offers a number of convenient bill payment locations, including:
• In person at City Hall, 101 First Street SE, 1st Floor Treasury Window Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
