Body Armor

Scope of Work:
You are invited to submit a bid for the purchase, measurement and delivery of Point Blank Hi Lite VX Armor Series Model VX-II soft body armor vests (or equivalent), plus additional optional equipment as requested by the City of Cedar Rapids Police Department.  It is anticipated that the Police Department will purchase between 40-50 body armor units.  The units are needed to replace body armor that was ruined in the Flood.

The awarded vendor will be required to come on-site to the Cedar Rapids Police Department and measure each officer.  Measurements must take place within two (2) weeks of request.  The City reserves the right to make multiple requests for measurements, as necessary.

In addition, the Eastern Iowa Airport is requesting the purchase, measurement and delivery of 5 body armor units.  Measurements for these units can be done at the same time as the Cedar Rapids Police Department.
