Demolition of Flood Damaged Structures

Scope of Work:
The primary purpose of this scope of work is to maintain the public health, safety, and well-being of the City during the response to an emergency situation, as well as to restore the public areas of the City to a normal condition. The Contractor understands and agrees that demolition and debris removal in the most expeditious manner possible is of the utmost importance and it will make every effort to complete all requirements of this Contract in the shortest time possible. The work to be performed under this Contract shall consist of demolition and removal of approximately 28 flood damaged structures as directed by the City. The Contractor shall not be paid to handle, process or dispose of structures or debris that are unrelated to flood damage. Neel-Schaffer of Fort Worth, Texas is the Monitor employed by the City to monitor the performance of this Contract. Direction by the City in this proposal shall also mean direction by the Monitor. No demolition activities shall be performed and no debris shall be loaded without the presence of the Monitor issuing a proper load ticket to document the origin of the load, date, contractor name, truck number, and loading departure time.

Contractor must review this Scope of Services and provide support for the fact that it has sufficient experience and expertise as is necessary to execute the terms and conditions of this contract.

It is intended that all of the structures, in the initial task will be handled as Asbestos Containing Material (ACM), with the exception of the materials listed in #7 on page 12 of the bid document.
