Each year the Forestry division participates in special events and programs. These range from teaching children how to plant trees, and using forestry equipment to hang flags, to providing trees to homeowners at a discount.
Residential Tree Program: In partnership with the Iowa DNR-Bureau of Forestry, homeowners can purchase trees for personal planting at a discount. Trees can be ordered beginning in February each year, and are available for pick up in early May.
Arbor Day: Learn about the history of Arbor Day and ways citizens can participate.
