Parks Walking Trails
Trails within parks are a perfect place to exercise in your neighborhood. Park locations and distances are listed below.

Cherokee Trail
This is a 1 mile crushed limestone trail located off Johnson Avenue between Edgewood Road and Wiley Boulevard NW. Parking is along Midway Drive on the trail's north side. Fitness stations and shady tree-lined stretches are features of this trail.

Cherry Hill Trail
This is a .79 mile paved trail. It is located on the west end of Cherry Hill Park on the city's northwest side. Most people access this trail off of Stoney Point Road. A playground, two softball fields and the Cherry Hill pavilion are adjacent to this trail.

Ellis Trail
This is a 2.6 mile paved trail located on the west bank of the Cedar River and follows Robbins Lake and the river from Edgewood Road to downtown Cedar Rapids. The trail is 10 feet wide with the exception of a couple of sidewalk sections. View the river, Ellis Boat Harbor and community gardens along the route.

Noelridge Park Trail
This is a .8 mile paved trail in Noelridge Park on the city's northeast side. It is best accessed off Council Street NE between Collins Road and 42nd Street. It regularly hosts fitness walks, walk-a-thons, and company fitness outings. This popular trail is one of the oldest in the parks system. Stop and view the Noelridge Park Flower Gardens in late spring and summer, play a game of tennis, or visit one of two playgrounds for the kids.

Nixon Park Trail
This is a .75 mile crushed limestone trail with very little grade change awaits users. The trail runs through Nixon Park and around Nixon School near Hiawatha on the City's northeast side.
