The City of Cedar Rapids recommends using this template, which is based on the 2007 EPA template, as a guide for preparing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans. All SWPPPs submitted to the City of Cedar Rapids should follow this template in order to ensure all elements are adequately addressed in a timely manner.

New development often means an increase of impervious surfaces, resulting in an increase in stormwater runoff. There are many practices that can be integrated into new development design which will result in improved water quality, less flooding, and an overall decrease in polluted stormwater runoff in Cedar Rapids.
