City of Cedar Rapids to participate in EcoFest 2024
April 12, 2024
With Earth Month upon us, the City of Cedar Rapids will be participating in the upcoming EcoFest. The annual celebration is held at NewBo City Market and features a variety of vendors and activities.
EcoFest is held every year to spread awareness and education about sustainability, eco-friendly practices and products, demonstrations, and the City’s sustainability program, GreenCR. GreenCR’s primary initiative, the Community Climate Action Plan, encourages residents to take action and help reach the city’s goals to be Carbon-Free and Resilient & Accessible by 2050. Each goal area includes 12 action steps that outline the City’s plan to heal our community. Find out more about the Community Climate Action Plan at CityofCR.com/GreenCR.
This year the City of Cedar Rapids’ booth will feature kid-friendly activities where you can build a bird feeder, learn about migratory songbird species, native plants, and make a commitment to Take Climate Action! Gather your friends and family and come celebrate all things “green” at EcoFest on April 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
