Adoption Requirements
Before visiting the shelter, you can view the dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, rabbits, and other small animals shown available for adoption in our online adoption listings on our PetFinder web site at:
http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/IA125.html.

Please note that not all of the animals in the shelter appear on the site's adoption listings.

CRACC attempts to work with everyone who is interested in adopting an animal and giving it a new forever home, however, CRACC does reserve the right to refuse an adoption application for reasons including, but not limited to: false information is given, background checks cannot be verified, vaccination records for currently owned pets cannot be verified or are not current, current identification and address cannot be verified, landlord approval is not given, or if the adoption is not in the best interest of the animal and the adopter.  All animals in the adopters home must be sterilized.

Dog adoption applicants must first present their current pet at the shelter for a meet n' greet with the dog you wish to adopt.  No exceptions without management consultation.
