Zoning Ordinance
The Cedar Rapids Zoning Ordinance, as set forth in the text of Chapter 32 and the Official Zoning Map, is adopted with the purpose of improving and protecting the public health, safety, comfort, convenience, and general welfare of the people. Please note that the City’s municipal code can be found here and does not include Chapter 32.

Draft Ordinance Amendments
A draft Ordinance amending several sections of the Chapter 32 Zoning Code will be presented to the Zoning Advisory Group on March 18, 2024 and reviewed by the City Planning Commission on April 4, 2024. A public hearing is anticipated to be held by the City Council on April 23, 2024.
