The Linn Metro Hazardous Materials Team is a joint venture including Cedar Rapids Fire and the Linn County Haz Mat team. These teams work in concert to contain and mitigate any hazardous material release. They also work closely with local industries and their respective hazmat crews. With such large industries as ADM, Cargill, Quaker Oats, Penford and the Duane Arnold nuclear power plant in Palo, these men and women are trained to respond to a large number of chemicals and their processes.
