Emergency Preparedness
Cedar Rapids Police and Fire Department employees engage in community outreach programming to share important safety education with the public. A series of monthly, informational messages relating to emergency preparedness is available through the Neighborhood P.A.C.T. program and distributed at Neighborhood Association meetings.

Stop the Bleed Training
Would you like to receive basic training in bleeding control principles so you are able to provide immediate, frontline aid until first responders are able to take over the care of an injured person?  

Urban Deer Hunt
The Fire Department manages the City's urban deer management program.

Do you need help installing or maintaining your smoke alarms?

Firefighters will help install smoke alarms or change batteries in smoke alarms for senior citizens and physically-challenged members of our community. Please contact the Fire Department at 319-286-5218 if you need assistance.
