Conni Huber is the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources including recruiting and retention, training, organizational development, labor relations, compensation and benefits, safety, health, and wellness. She has been with the City for 12 years and has been the Human Resources Director for 8 years.
Huber holds a Master’s degree in Management and a Doctorate degree in Adult Education. Previous to joining the City she gained 15 years human resources experience in retail and insurance industries. She spent 6 years as a staff and faculty member in higher education. Huber has served as an examiner, team lead, and coach for the Iowa Recognition for Performance Excellence Board. She has served as an adjunct instructor for Mt. Mercy University Master’s program. Conni is currently the president of the Iowa Public Employers Labor Relations Association, an organization for public sector HR professionals.
