Positively impact the quality of services of the City municipal government organization by recruiting, hiring, training, developing and retaining a capable workforce, and assisting in developing an efficient/effective City organization by:

  • Providing a competitive wage and benefit package 

  • Providing employee training and development in a learning environment; begin a focus to invest in the whole person (i.e., a sincere interest in the individual employee)

  • Promoting a respectful and diverse workforce 

  • Providing the leadership, necessary emphasis in advocating compliance with employment and safe workplace laws, regulations, City personnel policies and collective bargaining agreements 

  • Contribute to the development of an organizational culture where employees exhibit ethical behavior, trust, respect, accountability, teamwork and responsive customer service while striving for efficient and effective performance of public services
