New pavement is being constructed on L Street SW. New sections between Wilson Avenue SW and 24th Avenue are complete, and the L Street SW I-380 ramp is open for traffic. Paving operations will continue tomorrow on the portion of L Street SW between 24th Avenue and 25th Avenue. The southerly section of the project to 27th Avenue will be included in upcoming work this year. This project is on schedule and is expected to be completed this construction season.
Project Background:
This project will improve the pavement condition for L Street SW from 28th Avenue to Wilson Avenue. The work will include complete pavement reconstruction, placement of longitudinal sub-drain, and storm sewer replacement where needed.
Planned Improvements:
The Public Improvement generally consists of PCC pavement reconstruction, sub-drain installation, sanitary manhole replacement, and water main replacement located at L Street SW from 28th Avenue to Wilson Avenue. The Engineer’s estimate of probable cost is $1,140,000.
