A summary update on the implementation of the iGreenCR Action Plan for FY2020.
On February 25, 2020, the Cedar Rapids City Council passed a resolution recognizing the urgency for community climate action.
This report details GHGs that are emitted within the Cedar Rapids community. The document is technical in nature and shows where the community stands today in relation to the GHG-reduction targets identified in City Council's February 2020 Climate Resolution. A finalized version of this document will be included in the final Community Climate Action Plan.
This highly digestible, visually appealing, interactive web document utilizes a unique scrolling story-telling format to overview baseline climate data, education, and highlights from a climate survey of approximately 1,400 residents.

The STAR rating system is comprised of eight goal areas covering 49 objectives. STAR distributes points for outcomes achieved or actions taken in each objective. Outcomes are aspirational levels of achievement. Actions - such as partnerships, education, policies, practices, and assessments - move a community in the direction of an outcome.
