Community Leaders
The Community Climate Action Plan calls for a Sustainable Business Program (Carbon-Free Action 3, page 31) to be developed in 2-3 years. The program, called Community Leaders, will enhance sustainable building practices (energy efficiency, clean energy, electrification, water, waste reduction) and land-use practices (trees, green infrastructure, gardens, bicycling facilities). Prior to the program's full development, this Community Leaders recognition list serves to highlight the sustainability efforts of organizations in Cedar Rapids today.
Your organization deserves recognition for leading by example in sustainability. Share your commitments by completing the form below. City staff will review your entry and will reach out with any questions if needed.
