Demolition and removal of the existing playground in the lower section of Daniels Park, 940 Oakland Rd. NE, will begin on Tuesday, May 14. The playground is being removed to install a new, more accessible playground the following week. The new playground will feature two structures, one geared toward 2-5 year olds and one geared toward 5-12 year olds. The playground will include slides, climbers, educational panels, a saucer swing, net climber, and sensory cover climber. Construction is anticipated to take several weeks with the new playground available for use by mid-June. The playground is being replaced due to the age of the existing equipment.
