Police Investigating Altercation, Stabbing Incident

On Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 7:55 a.m. Cedar Rapids Police officers responded to the report of a stabbing at 1108 Sioux Drive NW. 

Officers located a 43-year old male with injuries on the scene. The individual advised he was involved in an altercation with a 36-year old male.  The 36-year old male was apparently stabbed and drove himself to a local hospital for treatment.  He had left the scene prior to officers’ arrival. 

Based on the preliminary investigation, officers have determined there was an argument that turned physical between the two individuals, who were known to each other. 

There is an ongoing investigation.  The individual that was stabbed remains hospitalized.
