City Launches New My CR Online Customer Service Reporting Tool and Mobile App, Mobile CR

The City of Cedar Rapids is unveiling My CR, a new online reporting tool that allows residents and visitors to request services, ask questions and report non-emergency issues to the City. Residents can access My CR from the City’s website at CityofCR.com/MyCR or through the City’s new Mobile CR smart phone app.

Using the My CR tool, residents can easily report issues such as potholes, malfunctioning streetlights, overgrown grass, and more. The icons and list of concern categories makes the system intuitive and allows citizens to find and submit their request by category. Once submitted, the issue is automatically directed to the appropriate department.

Residents can submit issues anonymously, or create a user account within the system. Creating an account allows the ability to receive status updates, monitor submissions through the account dashboard, send notes to the division responsible for the concern, and save contact details for faster future submissions. The My CR website also includes a community map allowing residents to view requests submitted in their neighborhood and throughout the city.

My CR is a valuable tool to help us provide convenient and quality customer service to the citizens of Cedar Rapids,” said Cedar Rapids City Manager Jeff Pomeranz. “Citizens have the option to submit a concern any time, day or night, on our website or by using our newly updated mobile app, Mobile CR.”
