Possible Stabbing Incident Under Investigation

On Sunday, April 4, 2021, at 3:45 a.m. Cedar Rapids Police officers were dispatched to 4107 22^nd Avenue SW for an individual who was apparently injured from a fight.  Officers arrived on scene to find a 34-year old male with a serious injury, possibly a stab wound, to his arm. An officer provided emergency medical care to help control the bleeding.  The victim was transported by Area Ambulance Service to a local hospital for further emergency care.  

As officers were processing the scene at Westdale Court Apartments, they located a 23-year old male with a serious hand laceration.  The victim was transported by Area Ambulance Service to a local hospital for treatment.   

There is an active, ongoing investigation.
