City to Host Resident Appreciation Day at Downtown Farmers' Market on June 4

June 2, 2022

The City of Cedar Rapids is hosting Resident Appreciation Day at the Downtown Farmers’ Market on Saturday, June 4. City tents and vehicles will be set up on 4th Avenue and at Greene Square from 7:30 a.m. to noon. The event provides a fun opportunity for citizens to meet City staff and learn more about City programs and services.

This year, the event will feature information about the City’s “Welcome is Our Language” campaign with t-shirts available while supplies last. The event will also feature games, prizes, and giveaways. City vehicles, including a fire truck, police squad car, forestry vehicle, Rollin’ Recmobile, and street sweeper, will be available for kids to explore. Activities will include child fingerprinting by Police Department volunteers, City mascots, the City Manager’s 1-Bag Challenge kits, and more.
