Golf

Cedar Rapids Golf uses volunteers for a variety of positions such as starters, on course attendants, driving range attendants, grillers, golf car attendants, maintenance and gardening. Volunteer positions are not paid compensation in any form, however, those who volunteer a minimum of 10 hours per week will enjoy playing privileges on City golf courses.

Volunteer Position Descriptions and Hours

If you are interested in being a volunteer, you must submit an application. You may either submit the online form below or complete the mail-in form and send it to l.grekoff@cedar-rapids.org or the Golf Office, City Services Center, 500 15th Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404.

Please note: You must commit to 10-12 hours per week to receive the privileges.

If selected as a volunteer for Cedar Rapids Golf, your schedule will be set by your supervisor at the assigned golf course. The City of Cedar Rapids reserves the right to select and limit the number of volunteers for its programs. Volunteer positions are not paid compensation in any form, however, in recognition of your volunteer efforts, volunteers in good standing enjoy playing privileges on City golf courses. These privileges are at the discretion of the City of Cedar Rapids and Golf Operations management.

You must volunteer a minimum of 10 hours per week to be considered an active volunteer. Any violation of Cedar Rapids Golf policies may result in revocation of playing privileges.

Playing privileges will be offered Monday - Friday (anytime) and Saturday/Sunday/Holidays after 12:00 p.m.

Playing during prime time (Saturday/Sunday/Holidays before 12:00 p.m.) requires FULL prime time greens fee. Discounts for concessions and merchandise are not included in the volunteer benefits.
