The State of Iowa has provided landlords with the opportunity to not be held responsible for tenants' delinquent water bills. If you are interested in signing up for this program, please complete and return the form below.
Please be aware that the Lien Exemption process is time sensitive. Additional information can be found in the Policies and Procedures link above.
The Cedar Rapids Utilities Division has recently updated our lien exemption form. Please click the link below to submit an electronic copy of the tenant lien exemption form to our Customer Service Department. Effective 12/15/2014 we will only accept lien waiver exemptions in an electronic format. Once the form is submitted, an electronic acknowledgement will be sent to your e mail or the ability to print a receipt will be provided. There has not been any changes to the lien exemption program, only to the electronic tracking process. Thank you.
