The City of Cedar Rapids hosts Large Item Drop-Off Events and will accept scrap metal for disposal at those events. Scrap metal can also be taken to the Cedar Rapids/Linn County Solid Waste Agency's Marion location, at 1954 County Home Rd., at any time during the year with no fee for disposal.
