The Cedar Rapids Fire Department offers firefighting, emergency medical services, and fire prevention to over 128,000 citizens. The fire department has prevention programs, special operations, and hazardous materials teams to meet the growing needs of the community. We strive to make our city a safer place to live, work, and visit.
The mission of the Cedar Rapids Fire Department is to mitigate threats to the health and property of our community through emergency response, quality education and prevention programs.

The Fire Department will be hosting an Adult Resource Expo on Wednesday, March 28th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Central Fire Station.
