K9Splash! at Bever Pool August 5 & 6

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – July 31, 2023 – K9COLA (Citizens for Off-Leash Areas) and the City of Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Department are hosting the K9Splash! dog swim at Bever Park Pool in Cedar Rapids.

The event takes place on Saturday, August 5 and Sunday, August 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (10 to 11 a.m. for dogs under 15 inches only). Proceeds from K9Splash! benefit off-leash parks in Cedar Rapids and the City of Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Department.

Registration will be held at Bever Pool on the day of the event starting at 9:30 a.m. both mornings. (Advance registration is not available.) The cost is $15 per dog per day. Proof of vaccinations is required at registration. 

Participants must provide proof of Rabies, Parvo, and Distemper vaccines from a vet (rabies tag is not enough), sign a waiver, and complete a registration form. Puppies must be 4 months or older to attend. Registration forms and waivers, along with a complete list of rules, are available at k9cola.org. For their safety, children less than 48 inches tall will not be admitted into the pool area.

K9COLA (Citizens for Off-Leash Areas) is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that works with the City of Cedar Rapids to support, develop, and maintain off-leash areas in the Cedar Rapids community.
