Theft Suspect Identified

The Cedar Rapids Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance in the identification of an individual that was suspected of using a stolen credit card.  The suspect used the credit card to make purchases at a local retailer on March 14th.  

On April 12th, the Police Department disseminated surveillance photographs and this information was shared by local media and posted on the Cedar Rapids Police Department Facebook page. 

Tips submitted by the public assisted investigators with identifying Bryan James Marti, DOB/01-17-1978, age 39, as the suspect.  Marti was charged with False Use of a Credit Card.
