School Supplies and Fun at the Back 2 School Bash August 4

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – July 21, 2023 – The Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department will be handing out school supplies at the Annual Back 2 School Bash on Friday, August 4, from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Cherry Hill Aquatic Center parking lot. The event with lots of fun activities is for kids entering kindergarten through 5th grade. Admission is $5 per child. Advance registration for program #103602-01 at CRREC.org is required; a limited number of spots are available.

In addition to core school supplies (notebooks, markers, crayons, glue sticks, pencils, scissors, etc.), participants will receive a coupon for $2 admission to any open swim at the City’s pools for the remainder of the summer and free BBQ from Willie Ray’s Q Shack. (Accompanying adults may purchase food.) The fun includes activities and games with the Rollin’ Recmobile and Cedar Rapids Police and Fire, inflatables, face painting, balloons, and Old MacDonald’s Farm animals. Z102.9 will be there, and Kona Ice will have cool treats available for purchase.
