Cedar Rapids Splash Pads Open through September 10

Cedar Rapids, IA – August 31, 2023 – The Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department historically closes the City’s 11 splash pads after Labor Day weekend. However, due to anticipated high temperatures next week, the Department is extending the splash pad season through 9 p.m. on Sunday, September 10 to provide residents with water recreation. Splash pads are located at Cedar Valley, Cleveland, Daniels, Greene Square, Hayes, Hidder, Jacolyn, Noelridge, Redmond, Time Check, and Twin Pines Parks.
Swimming at Noelridge Aquatic Center, the last outdoor pool open, is available over Labor Day weekend. Noelridge closes for the season at 5 p.m. on Monday, September 4.
