1st Street W Opens to Traffic

Effective immediately, 1st Street W from E Avenue NW to 2nd Avenue SW is open to traffic. In addition to opening the road, a new traffic signal is operational at the corner of 1st Street W and 1st Avenue W.  

The area was previously closed for Flood Control System construction, road improvements, and the construction of Big Grove Brewery and the Pickle Palace. Patrons attending Big Grove’s grand opening today are asked to use street parking along 2nd Avenue SW, 3rd Avenue SW, 1st Street SW, and bridge parking as noted on the attached map.
