Community Survey Enters Online Phase

March 5, 2024

Cedar Rapids residents are invited to respond to a comprehensive quality-of-life survey the City is conducting. The survey is designed to provide a baseline of how City Government is serving residents, gauge perceptions of the City of Cedar Rapids, and make comparisons with peer cities. The survey is administered by Polco and includes questions about quality of life in the community, local policies, demographics, ratings of local government services and resident use of services.

Residents are encouraged to complete the online survey at Polco.us/CedarRapidsOpen.

A mailing for the survey was initially sent to a representative sample of Cedar Rapids residents. Those who received the survey through the mail should respond according to directions in the letter or postcard. We request that these residents do not submit an online survey through the link above. The survey allows the City of Cedar Rapids to compare results and benchmark residents’ opinions against other communities across the country where applicable.

Take the Survey!

The City worked with an independent consultant, National Research Center, to develop the survey. This is the fifth time we are administering this survey in Cedar Rapids; the first was in 2016. Results from past surveys can be found on the City website.
